Interested in finding out how mindfulness can help to transform your life for the better?

These practical and interactive sessions offer a great introduction to the Breathworks Mindfulness approach to health and well-being for people living with stress, mild to moderate low mood & anxiety, pain and illness. They are also suitable for people who would like to find out more about mindfulness.

If you are considering attending the 8 weeks Mindfulness for Stress and Pain Management course based on the work of John Kabat Zinn and Vidyamala Burch for personal or professional development, these sessions offer an engaging introduction to these approaches.

 

Give yourself some time to pause, to tune into the present moment and connect with all that we are.

Mindfulness is a mind-body based training of being present to our life as it happens. It is about being deliberately aware of our internal world (body, feelings and thoughts) and events, right here and now, with an interested, non-judgemental and compassionate approach. Being mindful gives us the opportunity to respond to difficult events and situations in new ways, rather than just following old patterns (to be put in poster).

 

A vast body of world-wide research over the last 35 years has shown that mindfulness practices promote health and well-being by helping to reduce stress, illness, fatigue and anxiety. In the UK, it has been recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence as a preferred method for use in the NHS.
